Butterflies come rushing out my belly
As she swung her golden mace almighty.
Euphoria it may seem.
In a snap, it went dim.

They said love is patient, love is kind.
She got mad when I was late, torture in rewind.
It does not envy, it does not boast.
But it left me stranded, waking up on the coast.

Love is nowhere to be found,
Destiny seems to be the same.
People come and go,
You’re in an island waiting to go insane.

But for a moment, someone takes a peek.
In the island where the air seems meek.
With marbles for eyes and roses for a cheek.
Even for a moment, I have a poison to pick.
